PSA: You can make fast forward a toggle if you have a controller.

Toggle Fast Forward for Battles with Steam Input...

• Go to your FFT game page in your Steam Client and click on the Controller Icon to the far right. (Controller must be connected)

• Click Edit Layout.

• Under the buttons section, go down to Right Bumper and click on the gear wheel to the right.

• Click Extra Command.

• Click Right Bumper.

• On Command 2, click the gear wheel to the far right.

• Click Regular Press and select Long Press.

• Click again on Command 2 gear wheel to the far right and select Settings.

• Click Toggle and then close.

• Back out until the window closes.

Now, when you long press RB, it will toggle Fast Forward during battle WITHOUT having to hold it down. Long Press again to turn it off. DO NOT FORGET to toggle off after a battle, or your character screen will be flipping through characters nonstop.
