Would it be shitty if I just removed a friend from all socials?
So me and this girl have been friends for around 6 years now. We met in 8th grade through a shared class that we had, and we've been friends ever since. That was in like 2019 and because corona started soon after, we didn't get close for a solid... 2 to 3 years. After that, in 11th grade, we started hanging out more and got closer. She was there for me when I had come out of my first serious relationship, and through other moments of my life that weren't so nice. I often turned to her when I needed some advice or just wanted to talk about whatever. It often seemed as if I saw her as a closer friend than she saw me, especially when it came to trust, because I often opened up to her about anything, really, while she didn't open up a lot until probably the last year and a half. She said that it's just how she was, that her family really taught her not to talk ill of family. I understood that and never pushed her into saying things she didn't feel comfortable with, but obviously somewhere it made me feel stupid for opening up to her so much and trusting her so much but she never did the same.
It often also felt as if I put in more effort when it came to hanging out. She'd suggest things too, sure, but it was always me who planned out all the details like where, the time, etc. I confronted her about it a while ago and she admitted I was right, and that she's always been "lazy" about things like that. Obviously you can't change someone, but it's weird to be so lazy about your only irl friend. We're both young, I 21 and she 19, for context. Anyways, I've been in college the past year while she's been at home after failing 12th grade the year previous, lying about being home schooled and what not. I was way busier than her but I always made time to text her and made plans whenever possible, despite all my classes, friends I've made and boyfriend. I still deeply cared about her and didn't want to put her to the side because of not being in the same school anymore.
Among the things I've already mentioned, she'd also take ages to respond. Fast forward to now. I've gotten busier as I've changed uni to a college that works better for me, I've made new friends, life goes on and things get like that. I've last seen her some time before college started and I realised that I've gotten so fed up with her lack of effort that I also felt that we've drifted/grown apart to a degree. She wasn't mean to me, but part of me just wanted to get home as I compared the way I felt around her to some of my other friends. I often felt as if I needed to mold myself a certain way or that I felt bad that I wasn't like her, even though it wouldn't be her intention to make me feel that way. I haven't texted her in a month now, and she hasn't made any effort to reach out either, not even for my birthday 2 days ago. I'm not necessarily angry with her, but I'm kind of tired to keep wondering about this friendship and if it's worth it. So from there my question, would it be shitty to remove her from all the socials we're mutuals on? I wouldn't block her and I'd keep her number saved, but yeah.
