Yosemite next weekend trip

I was planning to visit Yosemite with mom (64) next weekend just for sightseeing and vista points. With the snow storm forecasted for next week, shall I call off the plan and go to Lake Tahoe instead assuming it's an easier drive ? Also, happy to hear additional short trip suggestions. For context, I am in Sunnyvale and looking for trips with minimal walking. Thanks !!
