Emperor Sutoku

DS: The technique utilizes a cursed letter with a curse/message written in the user's blood that forces reality to align with their curse. The former emperor's extreme hatred and resentment provides a vast and potent source of cursed energy to carry out the cataclysm. The message/curse can be written on paper, silk, or rocks.

The primary activation trigger is the burning of the letter/inscription by real fire when it comes into contact with cursed energy with intent or, more powerfully, by Sutoku's own cursed energy. However, Sutoku has developed a secondary gimmick that reflects his tengu power and Shintoism.

- Tengu-Dharma release: The curse is activated when an act of extreme injustice, blood treason, or disrespect for legitimate imperial authority occurs near the letter/inscription. The feeling of injustice resonates with the sutoku's hatred, triggering a massive and immediate release of its cursed energy, activating the decree.

Limitations:

- The curse must be linked to the destruction of the status quo, the reversal of fortunes, or the suffering of the enemy (such as their death in battle).

- Daitengu events such as storms, destructive winds, sudden illnesses, ruined crops, or political instability are easier to manifest.

- The prophecy must be directly related to chaos, disaster, or defeat. He cannot simply create something out of nothing, as it may cause the target's (political) power and wealth to disintegrate.

Temporary and limited fate manipulation:

Sutoku imposes a "fallen fate" on targets, accelerating their downward spiral.

- Probability manipulation (chaos and ruin): The user can transform the target's good fortune into bad luck, making extremely unlikely events such as fatal accidents, crucial traditions, and military disasters extremely likely, even in controlled situations. However, its effectiveness depends on the target.

- Mental induction (despair and paranoia): Sutoku can inject paranoia, fear, and despair into the minds of targets, causing them to question the loyalty of their allies and make self-destructive decisions, weakening the power structure from within.

- Mental "control": If the prophecy says the target will do something specific, the target's mind will be guided to do that. This can be avoided if the target knows this technique can do so.

With his cursed energy, Sutoku manifests the destructive power of a mountain datengu, focusing his hatred on the lands of Japan.

Activation requires the burning of a letter made with the intention of environmental or military destruction. This feat grants Sutoku control of the local weather (strong winds, storms, local flooding) and the ability to affect the stability of the terrain (small earthquakes, landslides). The effect is short-lived but highly destructive, and can ruin crops, destroy a naval fleet, etc.
