Fun nightlife similar to Clifton’s Republic for over 30’s?

Hi! My friend and I (2 females over 35) are going to be visiting LA in November and are looking for somewhere fun to go that’s isn’t too crazy. I really wanted to take her to Clifton’s Republic but was sad to see they’re only open for private events now. I know it’s a pretty unique spot but are there any other gems like this in downtown LA? We’d love a hot spot that’s upscale with good cocktails and with lots of ambiance and good service. Please give me all your favorite spots! TIA!
