Use case: small/pistol size crossbow for small game hunting (racoon size) that will not overpenetrate.

Hello all. Looking for what I described above. It's very important it will not overpenetrate. I will be using crossbow within 2 - 5 yard distance (mostly point blank). Perhaps selection of tip will be paramount in achieve this? Being able to tune ftp will probably be the best way to control overpenetration, are there models that can be tuned for desired performance characteristics? Added bonuses would be ability to attach lasers, lights, optics via picatinny rails. Cost is a consideration, under 1k. The one that I have seen that mostly meet this criteria is the Ballista Bat Recurve. The only con (for my use case) is that it is very powerful, might overpenetrate at the distance I will be using it, or maybe it won't ( I have never shot a crossbow)? Any suggestions and guidance will be highly appreciate it. Thank you.
