Does growth = loneliness? [23 M]

Really sorry if this comes off as pretentious of me.

I’m a guy in my early twenties. Due to my childhood trauma and early travels, I have always felt more mature and consciousness than my age implies. I’m an extremely social person. It’s not that I have a problem connecting with people, more so that I’m careful who to deepen relationships with…

…that being said, the more I have worked through my trauma and on my personal goals in the past year, the harder I find it to connect to people, especially women in a romantic context. I find myself yearning over a particular type of lady - strong, smart, with lots of baggage (just like me lol).

I’m probably in this mood and coming to Reddit because I just stopped talking to a lady who really understood my mindset towards life, and I feel even more isolated as I travel. I just want to hear other people’s experiences and hope my maturity will not be to my detriment in the dating world.

Recently life events have shown me the fragility of life. When it comes to love, I don’t want to play games or waste mine or my partners time. How do I stick to my values in an age where so many people have come cynical about the dating environment?
