To the soulmate haven't met yet,

Lovers

This is kinda stupid, isn't it?

Writing a letter to someone I haven't met. A stranger without a name, without a face.

I guess you've been on my mind a lot lately.

I often catch myself wondering if you're out there, somewhere, in this big wide world of ours. Hell, I even go looking, sometimes, quietly hoping we'll bump into each other on the street. In the bookstore I frequent, maybe, and I'll finally feel that spark of connection I always hear people talk about so fondly but have never truly experienced myself.

Unfortunately, this hasn't happened yet, which makes me question if you actually exist.

Now I'm aware there are people who can go their entire lives without finding their person, but I wanna believe I will. Still, a small, insecure part of me is so, so scared I won't because... well, I'm turning 30 next year and I just... haven't found that special someone.

This is no one's fault. I understand I'm still pretty young, that I have loads of time left. I have family, friends who care about me as well. Point is, I recognize others have it way worse than I do. But with each passing day, each week, each month, each year, I never find you, and deep down, I believe a little less. Which hurts. Which really, really hurts. Knowing I have so many questions that might go unanswered.

What's your favorite movie? Your favorite book, your favorite song, your favorite TV show? Do you have siblings like I do, or are you an only child? Where did you go to school? What did you study? What do you do for work? Are you looking for me, too?

At this point, I could go on and on, but I'll save the rest for later.

I can't wait to finally meet you. I hope I will soon.

Sincerely,
Someone you haven't met yet.
