Lands Wilted - A Poem by Me :3
Hey, not sure if this belongs here and it could be considered artwork and it is Elden Ring related.
So here's a poem:
Lands wilted from ruined deities Arrogance grown within a dynasty Through the fields of golden amber hues A weary traveller in tattered shoes Through land in perpetual disarray With nature in growth and decay Rot, grace and slumber paves the way From crimson lands With red sands A Rot that grows and looms Spread by flower's bloom A situation as untenable As an afflicted general Had his mind eroded And though devoted Soon found that he was doomed As friends and foe he did consume In red sand and scarlet tomb And so did he perish Upon a horse he still cherished And had his life squandered Thus releasing hold on the stars he conquered And as his life was expunged Those very stars did plunge
Natural borns of the void To the earthen cities, destroyed For magic comes at heavy price You steal it once it takes you twice As the sky rises beneath the dirt Where banished forces flirt They reside in defiance Decried independence From Grace's guidance Underground and forgotten And some rotten That stare at the ceiling of moon and stars And think but nought of their scars Of ancient spirits left to putrify And nature's beholder testify
As in this land a witch in joy wept For she achieved her destined death As playing upon her flesh a malediction An inscribed affliction That killed her body but left her soul That did inhabit a fashioned doll Thus killing he who was golden and praised Who's soul perished but body aged Roots spread through the great golden tree Carried his body through the dynasty Weaving and twisting all around To sprout from places in the ground A dragon sought for his friend A more peaceful end And sought to fight the corruption To his own destruction As he became tainted and was deployed By that he had seeked to destroy
To ancient tunnels towering high That would unto nature defy And grown to worship the dragon kin To attempt to become from within A dragon of fire's dance Though mighty at a glance Decrepit wings hang jilted Their appearance wilted Their cognition stilted Of a failed transformation With unnatural stipulation For who can be like the dragon kind Of power inclined Who are as ancient as the dust So power gained thus is unjust The dragon lords, Are dragons old, With lightning swords, Their might unfolds With scales of bone Like hardened stone They spread their wings As a strained carcophony sings As they fulfil the sight Of danger and beauty in mid-flight
Fingers bled Of fingers gold, To fingers read, The fingers told Of a gilded capitol that overflows With wealth and bounty aglow But harbours secrets down below Of tortured souls in their death throws Horns grounded And faith astounded To twins in grim renown Both unloved before the crown
Then a tree both mighty and undergrown Harbours a goddess who sleeps alone Cursed with power that eats her soul Until her nature takes its toll And she loses control
From a crumbling city in the sky I did watch her live and watch her die A blade seeped in deaths majesty To unravel a tapestry To the golden tree's tragedy And a dragon of many minds Slept at the end of time Broken but treacherous With power outrageous A forgotten lord in grief Whips its tale and snaps its teeth The weary traveller sees this and more In the lands between the foggy shore A path to tread from times before Thoust would obtain triumph and shame To gain from the golden tree aflame Thoust would bring skills to hone For actions that can't be condoned And sins bemoaned But why should thou atone? When so shall it be, the Elden throne
