Why do people hate on Ice Nine Kills?

Like I get that the gimmick is corny, but isn’t that the point? I love this band, and while granted The Silver Scream wasn’t my favorite, I still think they’re pretty solid overall. I was annoyed by the AI debacle too, but it was part of the storyline that the band has going. They don’t actually support it and haven’t used it since then.
