Can landscaper come to me for money
Location: Wisconsin I had a new walkway put in 2004 to fix a problem with water pooling and freezing from it not being level, which I paid fully. In 2025 I had a roof put on my home. The workers drove and parked a heavy wagon of material on my walkway, causing it to sink and not be level. The roofers agreed to pay the cost and signed the contract with the landscapers to cover the repair. The landscapers came to do the repair to the walkway, but didn’t level it properly and chipped some bricks, so I had them come back to fix it, two specific areas where there was pooling, and replacing some damaged bricks. The landscapers tried to charge the roofer the total for the further repair, including the cost of additional bricks that they chipped in the repair and the additional labor. The roofers disputed the additional cost, and agreed only to pay $934.08 of an invoice of $4025.85. Can the landscapers legally come to me for the difference in cost if I didn’t sign the contract? And if they do, might I have a legal claim since the future work was to repair a poor initial job?
