Can I use an 80mm Rodagon enlarging lens to do 4x5” to 8x10” prints?

I know the lens should only support 6x7 reliably but the enlarging factor is only 2x. I know that the 105 that was made for 6x9 works with 4x5” for smaller prints like 35x45cm. Has anyone tried that? I can’t do that myself.
