AITAH for telling my wife I'm happy with her but I don't feel fulfilled?
Wife and I are at our business working today, and I goofed something up. Totally not an issue that couldn't be fixed in a few seconds. Wife saw and corrected me. Then she asked in a joking manner, "What would you be doing without me?"
Now, I'd normally joke back with her, but the question actually made me think seriously. I answered honestly, "Probably enjoying my weekends instead of working seven days a week." She went quiet for a few moments and then asked, "Are you not happy with me?" I responded that I love her and I am happy to be with her but that I find this life we're living where we work 10-12 hours a day, 7 days a week as unfulfilling. The year is coming close to an end and we have gone on exactly 3 dates. That's with me dragging her, too. Otherwise, we're too tired.
This isn't new because I made it known when we first moved states to pursue this business she was interested in that I have no interest and that I would help when necessary, but it's now become my second full time job outside my regular 8-5.
Now my wife has been quiet all day. Am I the asshole for responding how I did?
