Second hand ALU control panel not working.

Hello. Just snagged a used ALU on marketplace for cheap because the control panel isn’t working after an update (per the owner).

Just took the back off and the control panel and made sure everything was plugged in snuggly.

What order should I test things to find out what might be the man culprit? I tried to do a reset on the unit and it mentioned something about firmware missing. Volume up and down work fine. Channel button works fine. USB ports give power.

Maybe I do have to try to reinstall the software? Thanks in advance.
