Mother in law invited my abusive father to the wedding

I am so pissed off right now. For starters, I am just going to say that I am a man. I got married last week, and at my wedding, my mother-in-law took it upon herself to invite my abusive father that I have not seen in years, and I don't want to ever see him again. I am so pissed off at her. I don't know why in the absolute hell she would think that it was a good idea to invite this man, knowing full well what he did to me.
