Could someone explain in plain English what the catalyst is for a (large) stock price increase?

My understanding is SLS is in trials for two therapies that hope to prevent/inhibit cancer cell growth in terminal cancer patients:

GPS SLS009

From what I’ve researched, the trials for both show that they extend the life of patients. The life extension is not long (just months) but is apparently longer than with historical treatments.

What exactly is the anticipated outcome for sls investors? Is it simply the treatments are determined to be safe, thus FDA approval?

Assuming FDA approval happens, what is next for investors, what do we want?

a) Stock price soars based on FDA approval alone?

b) Larger pharmaceutical company buying SLS for multi billion dollars?

c) SLS reaps massive revenue by licensing their therapies?

d) Something else?

Most importantly: when do we sell this stock? I don’t plan to hold this for 20 years and I doubt you do either.
