Questions about options trading

I’ve been investing for some time and have been curious about options for about a year and half of what i see on youtube seems to be glorified garbage i was curious if anyone can help give me some pointers on how to get started and what to look for and do to understand how they work and how to set up for success before jumping into it blind i’ve had the idea of learning and potentially using that strategy to add investment capital any and all advice greatly appreciated!
