The Goon Show

Just listened to a 1958 edition of GS. It was terrible. Silly voices, sound FX and a few jokes but I hated it. I know they were the forerunners of today’s comedy which has its routes in the past, but I am the only one who cringes about it? Navy Lark and Hancocks Half Hour are brilliant, as is some modern comedy. Am I alone it not liking the goons?
