Anyone here use SkyTeam Elite Plus status?
Wondering if it's just me, or if there are known issues.
I'm GM with Delta, so I have Elite Plus status with partner airlines like SAS. I just got back from a trip on SAS, and I didn't receive Sky Priority boarding. I checked in using the Sky Priority lane at ATL and CPH. I also got into the SAS lounge in ARN and CPH by showing them on my Delta app that I'm GM, and they let me in with no issue.
My concern is that I am not receiving priority boarding, which is more important to me than lounge access on a completely full flight. I spoke to the agent at the gate and showed them my status, and they advised that something in the system is not linking between Delta Skymiles and SAS. They did not allow me to board using Sky Priority.
I booked the flight on the SAS website, entered my Skymiles number, and received the miles and MQDs for the flights. This confirms that my Skymiles number is associated with the booking reference. I booked the standard fare, not Go Light, and I paid for my seats.
When I signed up for SAS, I added the EuroBonus membership because they hadn't yet switched to SkyTeam yet. However, I have 0 points with that program, and when I book, I always choose SkyMiles. At this point, I am wondering if I should close out that account and start over without registering for EuroBonus.
Has anyone else had any similar issues?
