Can you improve Seaboard M's sensitivity to light touches?

Hello ROLI community! I just received a pair of Seaboard Ms after dreaming about owning one for years. They seem absolutely fantastic, but I'm struggling with the playing surface sensitivity.

The surface requires more pressure than I expected to register notes. Even with Strike and Pressure set to maximum, I need to press quite hard to get a decent sound, which makes gliding difficult and even just playing chords challenging.

I'm also experiencing note re-triggering from small movements (because I guess I am pressing at around the exact value necessary for triggering).

I had assumed the surface would be highly sensitive (almost like a touchscreen), allowing for light, fluid playing. Is this the expected behavior, or am I missing a setting? Should I just keep practicing? I don't know if there's an issue with my units as both seem to be about the same and it's not like I have to put a lot of force into it, just more than I expected.

Thanks for any insight!
