I cant stand my friend
Im aware this makes me sound like an ass but I just need to vent somewhere.
Both my friend and I are in our 20s in college. We met 3-4 years ago taking the same degree and we happened to want to pursue the same masters degree afterwards so we ended up once again in the same class in another college. During my degree she was my only friend as I have social anxiety and trouble approaching other people and so far the same has been true at this school.
She's a kind and good person, usually up to hangout with me if I wanna meetup, invites me to go places with her and sometimes she even brings me gifts which is very thoughful of her. All these things make me feel guilty because these days I feel I just can't stand her. She's clingy (follows me everywhere, always checking on what Im doing in class, sits way too close or gets up to go sit with me if Im late to class and decide to sit somewhere else alone), talks too loud, has no social awareness, is not very bright and says some frankly dumb things (very loud again which is embarrassing to me), thinks theres always someone conspiring against her, overall just childish, makes it harder to try and be friends with other people. I just dont have the energy. Im depressed and going through a very rough time in my life. Getting up to go to class is already so hard and it's worse when I think I'll have to deal with her on top of getting through the day. She's always been like this, but my tolerance for it just has been lower and lower.
Not looking for solutions Im aware communication is probably the best course of action if I wanna do something about it. I just wanted to vent.
