Nuclear winder Arthurian myth

I'm trying to remember the name of a book it takes place in a post apocalypse nuclear winter. There are strange beasts mutated by radiation.

As I remember there is magic discovered by the main characters part way through. And it rounds up being a retelling/reincarnation of the classic king Arthur myth. I think it was YA but it's been at least a decade since I read it.
