Help! Just bought some zoomers, does the ache go away?

I just purchased a headset with zoomed lenses (see below) on it for painting however my eyes really ache when using them and even though I've had them on for less that 5 minutes my eyes still feel strained a while later. Will my eyes adjust? I tried them on and they really would be a big help for me so I do want to make them work. Thanks.
