Is there any demand for a BPD dating/friends subreddit? Is this a terrible idea?

So I’ve been on a couple dating apps for a good while without any success and I just wondered today, would it be such a bad idea to make a subreddit for those with BPD and any potential partners who’d be happy/interested in making friends or relations with those with BPD.

The concept is pretty simple, make a post about yourself, with as much or as little detail as you like. State what you’re looking for and whether you have, diagnosed or otherwise, BPD. Everyone would be welcome so you don’t have to have BPD and you can have other ‘disorders’.

There would be some rules like 0 tolerance for hate/bullying/blatant and irrelevant self-promotion. You can mention the band you’re in or art you make but no posts that cater solely towards promoting whatever. No NSFW images. Mention the part of the world you’re in and whether you’re open to long distance etc.

I just think it would be nice to have a place where we can find people who are more likely to be compatible and understanding without the headache of filtering through the vast majority of people on apps or having to pay to see who msgs you.

Obviously MODS would be essential to monitor rule breaking or harassment. The first and obvious issue I have with the whole idea is DMs. I don’t like the idea that people might be overwhelmed with msgs from people, but ideally, the sub will be for people who are genuine and serious, any unsolicited msges can be reported to mods and will be dealt with appropriately. As it’s a smaller community hopefully there would be less creeps but I might very well be wrong.
