[ROAST ME] Famverge - a private, ad-free expense tracker with AI receipts & group sharing

**TL;DR:** An expense & income tracker that finally plays nice with real life: scan receipts, forward shopping emails, voice entries, share budgets in groups, multi-currency, and no ads. I created it because the others either bug, snoop, or treat me like a spreadsheet.

## The Product

**What it is:** **Famverge** is an iOS and Android mobile expense & income tracker with privacy first and low-friction input as a design goal.

**Core use cases**

* **Scan a receipt** → AI fills in merchant, total, tax, tags.

* **Log your way** → type, **voice**, or **email-forward** receipts to extract automatically.

* **Daily-life friendly** → **Groups** (family/flatmates/partner), recurring items, transfers, shopping lists.

* **Stay organized** → tags, notes, **156+ currencies**, budgets, trends & export/import (CSV).

* **Privacy first** → end-to-end mindset, EU hosting, encryption, **no ads**.

**Who needs it:** Parents, couples, roommates, and single budgeters (25–55) who require a clean, private tracker that many can share without turning into Trello-for-money.

## The Market

* **Large & dull:** expense trackers are evergreen; lots of downloads, lots of churn.

* **Dynamics:** "one-thumb input" is king; privacy is now a non-negotiable; couples/households are an afterthought compared to solo power-users.

---

## Competition & My Edge

* **YNAB / Monarch / Copilot** – Famverge is simpler, pushes **voice + receipt AI + email** out the box, made for quick logs and shared budgets.

* **Spendee / Monefy / Wallet / Money Lover** – nice individual trackers; few execute **groups + email auto-extract** well.

* **Splitwise** – good for IOUs, not for **full budget + receipts + analytics**.

* **Banks/Revolut** – categorize cards automatically alone; Famverge does **cash, invoices, and that "we bought firewood together" life history**.

**Where we distinctly diverge**

* **No ads** and **privacy-focused** (GDPR-friendly, EU endpoints).

* **Multiple modes of input** (scan / voice / email) to minimize friction.

* **Groups** with QR invites so families use it in practice.

---

## Stage / Traction

* **Live** on iOS & Android.

* **~1.5k users** so far (organic; Reddit + ASO + word of mouth).

* Store page CVR at about **~20%**; retention improving as I iterate on onboarding and repeat flows.

* **Bootstrapped**. Not raising right now; optimizing product-market fit and growth loops.

---

## Customer Conversion Strategy

* **ASO** across multiple locales (titles, keywords, localized screenshots like the one one App Store).

* **UGC short videos** (TikTok/IG) of "scan → done", "email-forward → auto-log", and couples leveraging groups.

* **Reddit** (not spam; engage in budgeting/finance discussions, then emphasize actual features).

* **Referral loop** via **Group QR invites** and "email receipts" onboarding.

* **Lifecycle**: thoughtful push/email nudges for recurring payments & streaks (not a nag bot).

---

## Monetization

* App is **freemium**.

* Roadmap: **privacy-friendly subscription** for power features (advanced analytics, shared vaults, extended history, priority OCR). Feedback welcome.

## What I Want You To Roast ????

Be harsh on:

**Positioning & copy** (homepage & store pages) – what's cringe or unclear?

**Onboarding flow** – what's the initial "huh? Then what?" moment?

**Screens** – dull? confusing? try-hard? (ios screenshots)

**Feature set vs. focus** – what do I **cut** or **double down** on?

**Pricing plan** ideas – what would you pay for, if anything?

**Acquisition** – best bets for my niche, what am I missing?

If this does sound like another generic tracker, please let me know **exactly** where I lost my way so I can fix it. If it's great, please let me know the next **one thing** to send to win your home-screen space.
