Tipping baristas but not through the app...?

I see so much sadness and frustration on the barista forum that I wonder, how can I give tips to everyone without making a scene? The holidays are coming up, and I hear so much hatred for working holiday shifts, that i want to help everyone out by giving everyone a tip. I just dont know how its viewed by others, or even baristas, I dont want to start any problems, but with all the poor mental health, and hearing people often feel like "off-ing" themselves, really makes me feel bad for liking a place, knowing that theres so many people feeling this way.

I remember going to a new starbucks back in fall of 2008, there was a decent full crew, and all were moving fast, but not panicky, everyone was chatty, some were very cheery, even the barista at front greeted me happily, even a little flirty, calling me tony-bologna, made me chuckle and smile, from that point on I made it a point to come in every morning and chat a little with everyone, sometimes just come in a leave a tip in the tip jar and not order anything, just show support to the people that have been nice to me. It was a nice way to start my day. Its been quite a few years, but slowly and surely the atmosphere started degrading, people started disappearing, guessing due to cuts, and I got sad seeing people just not be happy.

Sorry for the long memory post there, but I just wanted to be supportive to those baristas, who I'm sure are trying their best to survive, some trying to support their families on what is definitely NOT a liveable wage.
