MH3 draft question

I didn't draft MH3 when it came out but have since been getting into historic.

What is the best way to get up to speed with an old draft format...

I'm your experience is it worth it? Will it be full of sharks? I'm just trying to see what cards I can collect whilst getting at least 3 wins (in silver - have never gotten out of plat but can normally string together a good runs in draft).

I like draft but not sure the learning curve is worth it but have been burning wildcards lately.
