Struggling to keep up with the program as a foreign student

Academic Life

Hello! For the past few years now I've been studying in China (2 Language years, 1 full uni year). The major I chose was E-commerce, thinking that it would be a very useful degree in a country that's famous for selling stuff worldwide, but the first actual year of studying in uni put all of my foolish ambitions to rest. The studying process has been very difficult due to my language level simply not being good enough to understand the lectures and the results showed that: I pretty much failed all of my exams that wasn't Chinese language. University allowed me to retake these classes but even then it's still difficult and having new classes on top of them don't help at all. I've talked to my homeroom teacher about this and she said that my uni doesn't have full on courses in English for freshmen, but she offered an alternative: Chinese Literature Major. The idea is that by transferring to this major it's gonna be much easier in terms of class difficultly (no higher math classes) with a focus on studying the language and understanding the culture, with the trade off being that it's gonna be a useless degree. I've been thinking about this for a while and still can't really decide with which route I should go with: just try even harder to brute force my way through with studying these classes or transfer to another major to focus on studying the language?
