Conflict of interest remedy USA

I understand that an ethical attorney removes themselves when a Conflict is discovered. But what happens when they don't? I understand that a motion to disqualify can be made, but what other than disqualification could remedy an attorney/firm influencing/prosecuting, multiple cases, civil and criminal, against the same defendant for several years?
