Well.. This morning, I have made the decision to return him to the Humane Society today when I get off work. Today makes an official full week and I don’t see it getting any better! I cried the entire morning because he would not stop meowing , my anxiety is the worst it’s ever been and I feel like a piece of shit. I can’t take the clingyness, I can’t take the constant meowing, the anxiousness I feel whenever I’m not home. I’m not getting a second cat, and I know that’s what he wants and deserves because The Humane Society told me he was surrendered with three other cats. I’m not the right mom for him & I didn’t know what I was adopting when I got him , i blame them for not telling me. He deserves someone who can be with him all the time, not get frustrated with him or yell at him, which I have done, I can’t take it. I’ve been cat-less for the past seven months and I thought I was ready.. I do still feel like I am, but I feel like he is not the right cat for me. I hope that with returning him, someone adopts him who actually deserves him and can tend to him better.. I genuinely do not feel like that is me. I feel very horrible, and probably will cry some more after finishing typing this. I don’t want to return him, but I don’t want to keep him.. turning him today will prohibit any more bonding & I should’ve done this days ago. The first night I didn’t feel the connection or that I loved him, and I still don’t. He Deserves better and I know that with me keeping him, I’m prohibiting him of that. I’ve bought toys, collars, Purina food, and it was all just a waste of money, but of course that’s my fault.. along with going to adopt a cat that I didn’t necessarily choose. they suggested him to me, brought him in the room, he was very affectionate.. that’s what won me over. There’s so much more to choosing a cat I should’ve been more patient, once again I did not know his breed or what I was getting.. if I did, I would not have gotten him.
