Trying to find an old board game I used to play. Don't know the name. Hex tile, like chess
I've been trying to figure out, remember and find this game for literal years. For the life of me I can't find it anywhere, so when in doubt reddit it out.
I played this game in my junior year in highschool (2007) so some bits may be fuzzy and I might be remembering it wrong.
What I know for sure- It had plastic hex tiles and it sorta played like chess. The goal of the game was to knock out your opponents pieces and then take down the "king". You didn't have that many pieces (maybe a dozen or so) and I remember them being like 3ish inches across and maybe 1/4 -1/2 inch tall.
What might be fuzzy - The image is roughly what I remember some of the tiles looking like- grey plastic with purple markings (though my memory could be faulty and the colors may be wrong). The triangles would be the direction of movement and attack, while the blank sides were where you were venerable. I think the king just had a single dot in the middle. Gameplay consisted of moving and turning- You could either turn and then move, or move and then turn. I think you could move as many tile spaces as you wanted in one direction as long as you were pointing in that direction. If you ran into another tile and you hit a venerable side, you got to remove the opponent's tile from the game (very much like chess).
Anywhos, hopefully someone out there remembers this game and what its called. Thanks in advance!!
