Is love even real? Or is it just an illusion?

Is love even real? I'm not trying to be selfish or rude on here but I'm starting to think and feel that Love doesn't exist. I recently lost my v-card to some ass hole, he said he liked me and we exchanged numbers we chatted with each other for a bit until he blocked me I tried contacting him even on the app where we met, now fyi I have low self-esteem so I blamed myself and I felt numb and emotionless for a couple of days until I finally released that he used me because I was "PURE" or something??! Oh and for heads-up he was in his late 40s and I'm in my early 20s. He said he liked me and he lead me on just to use me! I hate when people lie to me if you don't like me just say it I'm literally immune to hate. And for the people who says "go with people your own age" one I tried people my age are very picky and only date certain minorities aka white.
