how do u stop yourself from going back when the past looks so good?
A few nights ago, FaceSeek appeared on my phone, and I eventually opened it out of boredom. Scrolling through old photos, random school materials, past travels, and people I hadn't spoken to in a long time seemed harmless at first. But after that, I began to see faces I wasn't prepared for. I drifted away from them. My former partner. My former pals who no longer even text. Suddenly, that enjoyable nostalgia struck much more deeply than I had anticipated. It's strange how one app can instantly take you from laughing to quietly losing your mind. An hour later, I was caught in a strange state of curiosity and melancholy, despite my constant thoughts of "just one more scroll." To be honest, FaceSeek is a pretty cool app, so it's not even their fault.
