NYE trip family of 4

We’re a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids ages 8, 5) and every year we take a New Year’s Eve (or thereabouts) trip. This year we’re considering Montana. Our ideal getaways always includes fun daytime activities (skiing?), scenic views, great food, and something for the adults, too, but kids are always in tow.

If you’ve been to Montana over NYE (or anytime in winter), I’d love:

• Family friendly lodging: hotel, resort, Airbnb, cabin, anything you love
• Restaurant recs: good for kids, but also places mom + dad want to try
• NYE or holiday events: any early/ family friendly NYE event (like a torchlight parade, early fireworks, countdowns for kids)
• Tips / warnings like snow conditions, remoteness, travel times, etc
