8/2 Split Sleeper question

I know how it works, done it many times, but I've never done multiple 8/2 splits in a row.

I just did the second part of my split sleeper break. I have 7 hours of drive time. Say I drive 5 hours, then do another 2 hr or 8 hr break. Would it only pause my clocks and I'd have 2 hrs to drive after the first break, or would it calculate differently since I'm running multiple splits back to back, and I'd regain some time?
