I moved behind the coworker I could not stand
I had a coworker (I’ll call her Tracy) at a pharmacy I absolutely could not stand. She was mean to the other employee who were in training (one other girl, and me), she was mean to customers, and she has the type of attitude where she thought she was in charge.
The day I walked out the first time, I had gotten in first. They had just enforced this new system of switching roles and when breaks are to be taken, and what order. There was a huge line because people line up before the pharmacy even opens to get their scripts filled that aren’t even ready yet, plus walk-in vaccines. There had to have been nearly 20 people as soon as we came in.
Then, Tracy came in, and she refused to help me with somebody who was having issues with insurance. This person was getting really irritated with me, and so were all the people at checkout who were still waiting in line for their scripts. She was literally sitting there on her phone at the other computer and not even helping.
I asked if I could take a few minutes, and the pharmacist told me no because of how busy it was. That’s when Tracy stepped in and also asked to take her break. The pharmacist told her I hadn’t taken mine yet, to which she asked in a snarky tone, “so I can’t take mine yet?” As if she wasn’t the one who played boss and went over this with us to begin with.
I ended up walking out on my break and not coming back that day. I came back to have a talk with my boss and HR a day or so later, and she basically just kept repeating we would stick to this new system of switching roles. She never once said that Tracy would be addressed.
Anyway, not I live behind the wonderful Tracy. I can’t wait to be the absolutely most annoying naked window neighbor to her.
