counter-coriolis
Has anyone (else) played around with the direction of their circular pour? My tendency is to go clockwise but when I'm thinking about it I try to go counter-clockwise. It seems to reduce the little eddies. I realize that the Coriolis effect is fairly weak -- in the northern hemisphere water almost always circles the drain going clockwise but it can go the other way if the flow has been disturbed -- so I'm certainly not arguing for a huge impact, but I muse sometimes that going against the Coriolis effect might result in a more even draw down. (I really doubt it has a major effect, I just think it's interesting that almost video shows people going clockwise.)
