How can I make this soft sparkly translucent pink liquid material in Blender?
Hi everyone!
I’ve been trying to recreate a shiny, soft pink translucent material with internal sparkles... something like these reference images. I want it to look like glossy liquid lip gloss, with the glitter particles actually inside the material, not just on the surface.
So far, I’ve tried:
- Principled BSDF + Glass BSDF (mixed) for the base
- Noise → ColorRamp → Emission for the glitter
- Mixing the emission with the base using another Mix Shader
It looks okay, but not like this magical glowing look from the references — the glitter doesn’t feel volumetric or “inside” the liquid, and the surface lacks that jelly-like softness.
I’m rendering in Cycles, and I’ve experimented with subsurface, transmission, and even Volume Scatter, but I still can’t nail it 😭
Does anyone know how to achieve this effect, or if there’s a better node setup (maybe with Geometry Nodes or volume shaders)?
Any node examples or tutorials would be lifesavers.
Thanks a lot
