Best wallet to send money from USA to Canada?

Hello everyone, my friend wants to transfer around 15k usd from USA to Canada. I have a personal emergency and I live in canada and require my funds within 4-5 days, given the bank holds with wire and cross border transfer we may risk holds on our funds. It is a very time sensitive matter and the only option we see is buying btc and sending to me.

Does anyone recommend any app, that he can use for the first time where he can deposit 15k without any holds and can send btc with ease? Any help is appreciated!
