Help! First split night at 14 months.

1-2 years old

I was JUST telling someone my daughter hasn’t woken up in the MOTN my entire pregnancy (I’m 32 weeks) and of course, I’m now being humbled. I have never experienced a split night, even as a newborn she slept 3/4 hour chunks, ate and went back to sleep.

My daughter moved to 1 nap two weeks ago and does 5.5/5. 2.5 hour nap and 11 hours overnight. Trained with a hatch machine, will happily lay in her crib if she wakes up early from a nap or overnight until the birds start chirping. She goes to sleep completely independently.

She barely ate all weekend and was very very fussy so I took her to urgent care and she had an ear infection. She’s taken 2 rounds of antibiotics and I have her on Motrin as well. Last night she went to bed at 8 (normal time) and woke up around midnight standing and crying which is not normal at all. Went in, comforted her, put her down, continues on and off crying until 2:30 ish. My husband and I both went in at different times and I gave her some Motrin. It’s now 1 hour past her DWT and she’s been sleeping for 5.5 hours.

So, does this sound like a split night from too much day sleep/transition and need to schedule change? Or does this sound like an ear infection and/or molars?

We were literally lost last night as we haven’t had to deal with a MOTN wake up in ages, and she used to just need a feed when she was young but she didn’t want anything when offered.

If I let her sleep 1 hour longer this morning, should I push back nap by an hour? Would love any and all input - thank you!!
