Has anyone tried fall-detection wearables for loved ones with dementia?
My grandfather has early-stage dementia and still likes to go for short walks alone. We try to give him independence, but I’m always worried he might fall or get disoriented.
I’ve seen these wearable devices that can detect a fall automatically and alert family members or emergency contacts.
Has anyone here used something like that? Did it actually help, or were there issues (like false alarms or setup headaches)?
Just trying to find a balance between safety and letting him feel independent.
