I Said I’d Launch Today. Here’s What Actually Happened (Plus a Game-Changing Lesson)
AIpreneurs, promised I'd check back in. Here's the reality:
✅ Done: Facebook ad for CodeCompass launched
In Progress: n8n automation (25% complete)
Unexpected win: Attended Startup Empire session on "Vibe coding"
The lesson that hit:
To build a successful app, you need just 4 things:
- Authentication
- Database
- Payment system
- Landing page
Everything else is noise.
Tools: Node.js, Cursor, Cloudflare R2, Claude Code
Need to rewatch, but I gained something more valuable than finishing tasks today: clarity on what CodeCompass actually needs to succeed.
Before: Building felt overwhelming. Too many moving parts.
Now: I know the 4 core pieces. I know what "done" looks like.
Sometimes learning what to build matters more than building blindly.
After dinner: Finish n8n workflow
Reality check: Didn't complete everything I planned. But I moved forward and gained clarity.
Progress over perfection.
