Identifying blown-up component on RTX 3090 FE
Hi everyone,
Recently, I decided to change the infamous thermal pads on my RTX 3090 FE, with it being out of warranty for a few months now. The endeavour was a success and my memory temps are now more manageable, but in the process I noticed scorch marks on a small component on the back of the PCB, next to the triple row of capacitors. I have no idea when it happened, just that it was before changing the pads since the scorch marks were imprinted on the original thermal pads. At any rate I did not notice it happening so it was not a catastrophic failure and the card still works perfectly fine to this day. For peace of mind, and curiosity, I still would like to know what that component is, but I haven't been able to find it on the block diagrams and schematics I found on various websites, and the more technical stuff is out of my reach anyway.
On the attached picture here, I've circled the faulty component (it's not a picture of my own GPU, since the ones I took are unfortunately too blurry).
