27 [M4F] Texas / Online - Looking for a IRL Co-op partner/strategist

To Whom It May Concern:

I am making this post because I struggle to meet people organically, and I'd like to meet someone to spend some of my time with. I am getting old (figuratively and seriously) and I am now doing the things that everyone else is: Living alone, working, dreaming of being able to afford expensive stuff like a house. I am hoping that the outcome of this results in a lifelong friend or partner (I am in the market of finding a partner, but I can do whatever).

I just started a phd program in biomedical sciences. Most of my cohort want to work on disease models, but I am a nerd who would rather figure out how DNA is expressed or how it is fed into factories to make RNA. I'm not classified as a phd candidate yet, but hopefully that happens soon... The entire thing is 5-6 years, so I will be stuck in Texas for awhile and then maybe I will go to europe or the north east states later. I love talking about science, so if you start a conversation, you may have to end it yourself because I seem to love science.

Other than that, my outside work hobbies are mainly video games. I play alot of video games on both sides of the nerd spectrum, from WoW to Minecraft, I really will play it all. I also listen to a ton of music, I currently am devoted to alt rock such as the home team, wind walkers, and makari. I have this burning desire to go become a low-tier power lifter and push weights, but I struggle to force myself to go.

Physically I am 5'11" and 190 lbs, I def could lose a few more pounds but likely this physique is only an issue to really picky people. I have short(?) brown hair and hazel eyes. I'm white as a ghost, I don't go outside much.

What I would like:

On the extreme I'd like to find someone who would be willing to spend time with me and talk or whatever. I'd like to eventually meet physically, but I'm not really in a rush. I really take respect and effort seriously as I have wasted my time on people before who don't really care but continue to bread crumb you, so please just be serious.

You can be from wherever you want. Texas is preferred as I am more of a physical socializer but online can work too as long as you put in the effort. If you play video games that's bad ass, but not required. If you are worried about how you look (if it even matters), I am older so I'm just here to really build a social life of people who care.
