[TOMT] Can you help finding an obscure movie from the early 2000s?

It was made in the early 2000s. It was in English but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was dubbed from another language. It was a cgi aninstion style, like the furby movie from the same time period. The main character was a young girl. And had some sort of side kick but I don’t remember. I think her hair was in purple space buns. Her hair may have been black too. She was wearing what I think is traditional, old Chinese or Japanese clothing She lived in a small village, there’s a scene where she splits a bun in half and gives it to two poor children. She also ventures into some sort of tomb and fights with samurai armour. I saw it on DVD. I have been hunting for this movie for years. I know I’m not making it up as I would watch it ever. Single. Week. I can envision the two small children eating what I think was a bao bun. Pretty sure it was set in china or Japan. I can also remember the young girl setting off traps in what I think was a tomb of museum. And the samurai armour came to life. Any ideas would be so good!!!
