Unpopular Opinion: Deinos should be able to swim through the soil like an Earth Elemental

There is significant fossil evidence that Deinosuchus and all pre-Miocene crocodilians could glide through the earth and soil without leaving a single trace of evidence. After all, their fossils were discovered in undisturbed soil. Even if you were to discount this, what evidence is there that Deinosuchus didn't do this? What, just because modern crocodilians don't? An absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

In times like these I think back on that famous quote from the late great Donald Rumsfeld and can't help but wish that the game's programmers wouldn't reflect on his words more. Do we know that Deinosuchus couldn't swim through the air as easily as it could swim? I think that is fair. Do we know that they couldn't do the same with solid stone and soil? I would say we don't even know that we don't know whether or not they could do it and its omission within the game is a glaring one.
