Dry scalp remedies

Hello parents,

FTM here, I need product recommendations or routines for a dry scalp. My LO is 16 weeks and has a dry and flaky scalp. Originally we thought it might be cradle cap, but appears to be more dry scalp related, also has some eczema on other parts of her body. Washing hair 1-2x week. I can’t seem to keep the flakes away. I’m not sure if I should wash more or less or need different products.

We’re currently using Aquaphor Baby Wash & Shampoo. Previously used Aveeno baby line but thought that might have caused the dryness. I’ve tried Vaseline and Aquaphor healing ointment. The aquaphor worked well, but is a pain to get out of her hair, someone recommended using CeraVe Baby moisturizing lotion instead.

I’ve tried baby oil before shampooing and seem to get the flakes off but for one day.

I’ve tried the Mustala cradle cap line (only 2-3 times as I was concerned it would make it worse if it wasn’t cradle cap).

Please let me know what has worked for you. Her scalp always seems dry but hair seems weighed down!
