I need help!

I just picked up my 2021 cmx 500 rebel, and I've been riding the whole day.

A few hours ago i stalled it for the first time, the check engine light came on and stayed on for the rest of my 30 minutes ride. Even after i started the bike again it was still on. After an hour i tried it again and the check engine light was off.

I called the dealership and they said that it is normal for the light to stay on.

On my second ride today i mixed up the 1st and 2nd gear and stalled again. Same thing, engine light kept staying on. I turned off my bike. After approximately 10 minutes it was still on.

Is it normal for the engine light to stay on for that long after stalling, what are your experiences? I noticed no other errors and the engine felt normal.
