Majority of you should not make their own story based on what I read on this sub

I understand that a lot of people here are kids, but istg, same topics keep being rehashed and alternatives are being given all the time because.... they're good for the soul????

GROW UP! You are partaking in a media that relates to Greek Mythology, and in Ancient Greece, if you don't think properly in your head, care about yourself first before others, you do and you become irrelevant. Heroes have to be make certain sacrifice and yes, even their own morals so that they could see through their acts and become the stuff of legends.

This fandom needs to realize that Ancient Greece (and honestly even the real world) is not both OPEN ARMS and RUTHLESSNESS. There is a balance in the middle that you should follow if you want to have a good life lest you either become an evil person or a doormat.

Stop OVERLY moralizing (Discourse is good, rewriting it because your feelings get hurt is wrong) stories just because they are being retold in a way that you don't like it. UNDERSTAND THE NUANCE, and maybe just maybe.... you will find that what the story is telling and the actions of certain characters make sense (yes, even the ones that you hate)
