Oil change place ruined my engine.

I took my car in for a standard oil change to one of those quick lube franchises. They put double the oil in that it should have had. On the way home it started blowing oil smoke and then died; estimate to fix it is over 3000.

I’m honestly just devastated, I’m sure they’ll fight me on making it right. I just want them to pay the repair but am worried I will have to sue them for it. Thoughts on the best approach?

I just got the estimate from the mechanic, I haven’t confronted them yet.
